Annual Meeting

The Annual Meeting is a relatively informal affair. There is a short section on confirming officers and the committee, and a brief report from the Chair and the Treasurer.

The main section is a talk on a topic of interest by an expert in the field, whether it is about nature, local history or about issues concerning local community groups.

The idea is for it to be relaxed and interesting. We hold the meeting in St Augustine's Church on One Tree Hill, where we also have light refreshments and a glass of wine.

The Annual Meeting is a lively affair with a presentation from an expert on an aspect of the hill, woodlands and environment.

Recent meetings have included presentations on:

• birdlife on and around the hill
• the canal which ran through Southwark recreation ground
• bats, which have been recorded on the hill
• zeppelin raids in the first war
• trees, of which One Tree Hill has quite a lot more than just the one.
